SUMMARY:Change the Environment\, Transform the Outcome: Supportive Strategies for Growth and Success in Neurodiverse Kids\, Teens and Young Adults
DESCRIPTION:Grounded in decades of combined lived experience raising children with FASD into young adulthood and years of professional training\, coaching\, mentoring\, and conferences\, this training offers a practical\, compassionate look at what truly supports neurodiverse children and the caregivers who love them. Participants will explore how the emotional and sensory atmosphere of the home influences behavior\, including the surprising impact of walls\, kitchens\, and visual spaces on regulation. Through real-life examples and FASD-informed strategies\, presenters will guide attendees from “won’t” to “can’t\,” helping caregivers and professionals reduce conflict\, increase understanding\, and create calmer homes and community settings through intentional planning and realistic expectations. \n

SUMMARY:Drugs\, Alcohol\, Pregnancy & Children Who Are Vulnerable Virtual Training Series
DESCRIPTION:Event webpage: https://community.cwla.org/events/EventDetails.aspx?id=2027157 \nCWLA is pleased to partner with Dr. Ira J. Chasnoff the Founder & President of NTI Upstream to bring you the essential training series\, Drugs\, Alcohol\, Pregnancy & Children Who Are Vulnerable. \n  \nAnnually\, thousands of children in the United States are delivered by women who have used alcohol\, tobacco\, marijuana\, or illicit drugs during pregnancy.  This training series will explore the biological and environmental factors for children and families that impact the ultimate development of children affected by prenatal substance exposure and will provide strategies for family- and school-based interventions that can promote long-term growth and development for this high-risk population of children. \n  \nEach of the monthly training sessions is a stand-alone learning opportunity. Participants are welcome to register for one or multiple sessions.
