This webinar will help define the role that social attitudes have in early identification of children with an FASD. Faculty will demonstrate how to address issues around stigma and bias in assessing for and delivering an FASD diagnosis and share lived experience to illustrate best practices in the pediatric medical home. Participants will learn the importance of screening for prenatal alcohol exposure and providing familycentered care as part of the pediatric medical home. Faculty will discuss the importance of an FASD diagnosis for treatment and interventions. This activity has been approved for 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ and 1.0 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.
