Join us online for a special program commemorating the 33rd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. This program, hosted by Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke, will focus on the rights of people with disabilities to avoid needless involvement with the criminal justice system. The program will feature keynote speaker Bryan Stevenson, founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative and a lifelong advocate for racial justice and reform of the criminal justice system. The program will also include remarks from Assistant Attorney General Clarke, a discussion between Bryan Stevenson and Assistant Attorney General Clarke, and a panel of experts. Panelists include Estelle Richman (former Pennsylvania Secretary of Public Welfare), Helen Skipper (Executive Director of NYC Justice Peer Initiative), and Regan Rush, Principal Deputy Chief, Special Litigation Section, DOJ Civil Rights Division. Rebecca Bond, Chief, Disability Rights Section, will moderate the panel.
