Come to a discussion on Regional Center services. The Regional Centers in California are a complex system with a steep learning curve to learn about their policies, procedures and services offered. Being an advocate for a loved one who has an FASD with the Regional Center can be challenging because staff is not educated about FASD and because, like special education, Regional Centers have procedures one must follow to obtain services. Come learn from each other! Caregivers who have been successful in obtaining appropriate services for their loved one will present. Then learn about the IPP and what is necessary (like the IEP for the Regional Centers). Also, learn about several new programs that may be a fit for your loved one with FASD!
Attend even if you do not have eligibility yet for a Regional Center!
