The Families Moving Forward (FMF) Specialist Training six-day course, and ensuing 10-hour intervention fidelity training, teachers professionals to deliver the FMF Program as an FMF Specialist.  FMF Specialists are approved to deliver FMF, an evidence-based intervention clinically proven to help families, and their children, ages 3-13 years, living with prenatal alcohol exposure (PAE) or fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD).  For master’s level professionals in counseling, social work, psychology, or related fields, working with families with children living with PAE/FASD, in person or via telehealth. We are expanding across the U.S. and beyond.  We are presently accepting applications for the Fall Training.  

The Families Moving Forward (FMF) Program aims to help children who have concerning behavior problems and are affected by prenatal alcohol exposure (PAE), with or without a fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) diagnosis.  FMF combines a positive behavior support (PBS) approach with motivational interviewing (MI), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help parents better understand the difficulties faced by children because of their neurological differences when living with FASD or affected by PAE.  FMF uses scientifically validated strategies to help parents change their own knowledge and attitudes, leading to improvements in their child’s behavior.

Three-step process:  1.  FMF Specialist Training:  6-day, 30hr, live online course, $2,500, 30 CEs; 2. FMF Intervention Fidelity Training: Ten 1hr virtual consultations as you see your first clients; $150/hr; 3.  Approved FMF Specialist:  Independently deliver the FMF Program in person or via telehealth.
