In this 6 week long workshop, you’ll learn about the impacts of alcohol and drugs on the developing brain as well as other brain-based disorders and how they can manifest into challenging behaviors. You’ll learn the WHY behind what is working and what isn’t working for the child in your life. You’ll walk away with a plan tailored to your child’s and family’s needs. We will explore their strengths and interests and base their plan off their individual uniqueness. You will discover why this child is struggling in certain areas and how you can better meet their needs. You’ll create a list of accommodations and environmental changes that can help minimize battle struggles and difficult behaviors as well as increase your confidence as a parent and your attachment to your child. You will walk away with renewed hope and commitment to embracing all the wonder that is your child and all the ways this world needs them specifically. This class is for you if the child you are raising or teaching has a diagnosed or suspected brain-based disability, prenatal exposure to drugs or alcohol, mental health needs, early childhood trauma, or challenging behavior manifestations.
