More information:
FASD and Justice has taken place since 2013 in advance of each year’s conference.  It is designed for those working in juvenile and adult criminal court as well as specialty courts, including judges, prosecutors, defense counsel, police, probation, parole and corrections officers, social workers working in multiple agencies and services, and psychological treatment professionals. We will seek credit hours for these disciplines as well as the CLEs. This event last took place in 2019 but was cancelled thereafter, due to the pandemic.

Panels will focus on what has been developed since 2019 to deal more effectively with individuals with this disability who have found themselves in trouble with the law. This will include information on what has been learned in the 5 years of operation of the FASD Court in Winnipeg, Manitoba, CA.

Optional Lunch Session (March 22: 12:10 – 12:50): Roundtable: How to Change Legislation to Make the Fight Against FASD a National
Public Health Priority?

Join French MP Perceval Gaillard and SAF France for an exceptional roundtable to learn how to influence legislation in your country. Inspired by the legislative project currently underway in France, this event will explore strategies to strengthen prevention, improve support, and facilitate the diagnosis of families affected by FASD.

Come share your insights and contribute to building a more inclusive and protective public health model worldwide! Registration at charlotte.lm.communication@gmail.com

Daily “Body Doubling”: Friday, Saturday and Sunday (7am-8am and 4pm-5pm)

Join Madeline Rae in Room 606 between 7am-8am and 4pm-5pm for casual yet focused co-working sessions—30 minutes of structured support designed to help you switch tasks, stay accountable, and build a routine without added stress. Madeline will also lead attendees through a short physical movement session to help them feel their best during the conference.

This is a great opportunity for members of the FASD community to see how this practice drives personal progress and also demonstrates a practical framework for FASD‑informed support. In an environment where gaps in access to meaningful, FASD‑specific solutions persist, our approach has the potential to shift how caregivers, professionals, and researchers support executive functioning over the long term.
