Welcome to FASD United, the global alliance of families, professionals and organizations dedicated to helping those impacted by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). At FASD United, our Board of Directors are leading the charge in creating a path towards progress for people with FASD. Our Board Members come from a broad range of companies, organizations and backgrounds, bringing their unique perspectives on how best to accomplish the mission of FASD United. They’re passionate about leveraging their expertise and skills in service of finding better ways to help support those living with an FASD diagnosis as well as advocate for improved public awareness and legislative change so that more can be done. Our board is filled with members from diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives that reflect the values and mission of our organization. The Board of Directors serves an important role in advising, motivating and inspiring FASD United’s development initiatives. Join us today to become part of this dynamic effort constructive efforts to create positive impactful change within the communities we serve!
Members of the FASD United Board of Directors, use their best judgement to participate actively in in making decisions on behalf of the organization putting the needs of the organization and the people we serve above their own individual and professional interests. As advocates and ambassadors for FASD United’s mission, vision and values, our dedicated board members also hold the organization accountable to the mission as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
Board members take an active role in the financial management of FASD United, through budget review, fundraising and donating at a level meaningful to them while establishing and monitoring policies to ensure sound financial decisions.
Our FASD United board members give one of their most valuable gifts, between 5-10 hours per month of their time, with officers giving twice that, participating in or leading committees and attending board meetings.
