FASD Conference 2025 Speaker Information: Before the Conference

If needed, here is the link to upload your slides (by March 18, 11PM PT). If your slides are not ready by then, please bring them on a USB drive and upload them on-site at the registration desk during the designated times:

Plenary, and/or 15-minute Oral Paper Sessions
A. Disclosure of Conflict of Interest (one per person). Speakers must fully disclose any affiliation (financial or otherwise) with a commercial or other industry interest. Please complete this form and submit it by February 26, 2025 to jaida.votolato@fasdunited.org:
B. Audiovisual (AV) Requirements (one per presentation, only accessible by the submitter). Please verify and confirm if you need additional equipment to what is already provided. To do so, please login to your Oxford portal (where you submitted the abstract) and view your submission(s) and for each accepted presentation, answer the newly added AV requirements portion (AV1-6) on page 2 (click on “2” at the bottom of page and disregard any “Submission incomplete” pop-up warnings). Please refer to the email Jaida sent in March.
C. Speaker Bio (one per presentation, only accessible by the submitter). Please review and/or submit your 50-word speaker bio that you submitted during the abstract process by February 26. You will find this under authors/presenters and if you selected a person to be a presenter, a 50-word bio should appear. Please review these for all presenters. Please refer to the email Jaida sent in March.
D. Syllabus Summary Paper (one per presentation, only accessible by the submitter). We will be preparing a syllabus and must receive content materials for your presentation(s) by February 26. Please submit your summary on the Oxford portal (end of page 1) Please refer to the email Jaida sent in March. This can be an updated abstract. If you need help in locating your original abstract submission, please contact votolato@fasdunited.org.
E. Slides (one per presentation): see PowerPoint Formatting Guide. As noted, we will provide a laptop for your oral paper/plenary session.
If you have not yet uploaded or sent us your slides, please do so via the link below before March 18, 2025:
Upload your slides here (please try to title it <session name>_<last name> e.g. B3iv_Jones) or email it to jaida.votolato@fasdunited.org. If you forgot your session number, click here to review the most up to date program. A printed copy will be provided on-site, so there is no need to print it beforehand.
Otherwise, please arrive to your session at least 30 minutes prior to the session to upload your presentation, or you may do so in the Speaker Ready Room that will be provided (more info to come closer to the conference).
F. Registration (one per person). Speakers will have already received the reduced discount code via email. Please note the discount codes are reserved for speakers ONLY please do not share these codes. All speakers MUST register by February 20 to receive these discounted codes. Register here.
G. (If applicable) Hotel Accommodation. We have secured a reduced special rate of $249.00 + taxes for our conference delegates for our conference dates up to February 26, 2025 (dependent on availability). (Note: We were able to negotiate the reduction of “destination fees” ($25/night) for our room block so please make sure you book within our room block to receive these favourable rates).

Please verify and confirm if you need additional equipment to what is already provided. Please refer to the email Jaida sent re: AV needs. To do so, please login to your Oxford portal (where you submitted the abstract) and view your submission(s) and for each accepted presentation, answer the newly added AV requirements portion on page 2 (AV1-5) (click on “2” at the bottom of page and disregard any “Submission incomplete” pop-up warnings). Please complete the questions by March 14.

APPLICABLE TO ALL SPEAKERS (excluding posters):
Please include 25% of your time for discussion/throughout the presentation. Please be ready with discussion questions to pose to the group to help facilitate discussion if needed. This is required for the conference in order to meet accreditation standards.
