FASD United Welcomes New Staff: Katie Erdman and Emma Baldwin

All of us at FASD United are thrilled to announce two incredible new full-time staff members.  Katie Erdman is our new Senior Director of Program Services and Emma Baldwin is our new Development Associate.  Katie and Emma both bring a depth of experience and a dedicated passion to their respective positions and are already making invaluable contributions to our organization and our mission.

As Senior Director of Program Services, Katie Erdman plays a major role in the strategic planning and program management for all our federally funded programs. With over 20 years of experience designing workplace solutions for Fortune 500 and federal government customers, she has a knack for improving operational efficiencies.  Prior to joining FASD United, Katie was Director of Client Services for TAD PGS, Inc. and Sr. Enterprise Client Success Specialist at Indeed.com.

Katie describes what led her to join our team, saying “I was drawn to FASD United by the passion of its team for their mission. I like the work FASD United is doing to help reduce stigma and focus on supporting those living with FASD and creating a more FASD informed world.”

As Development Associate, Emma Baldwin is our point person for fundraising and donation campaigns. They reach out to potential donors while fostering and building relationships with existing donors, as well as working on our overall fundraising efforts.

Emma’s first role in the FASD community was as a sibling to an individual with FASD. Emma got their Bachelor of Science in Technical Writing and Communications at the University of Minnesota.  Emma then worked for Proof Alliance in Minnesota as their training coordinator.

As Emma explains, “I really am dedicated to FASD as an issue and want to stay at the center of it. Specifically at FASD United, I am drawn to the fact that there are so many people with living experience at the heart of organization.  As the development associate, I am thrilled to be the person who speaks to the impact of what we do. It is important that partners and funders hear the organization’s voice and values when connecting with us, and I am proud to represent that.”

We could not be more excited to welcome Katie Erdman and Emma Baldwin to our FASD United team and congratulate them on what they have already done and will continue to do to advance the FASD field.  We are inspired by their dedication to moving us closer to our shared vision of an FASD-informed world where people living with FASD and prenatal substance exposure are recognized and supported.
