FASD United Welcomes Ruoxian (Susan) Huang, Research Review Intern
We are thrilled to welcome Ruoxian (Susan) Huang to the FASD United team! Susan’s focus will be on working to analyze and review research and data related to our projects, as well as editing and communicating about our research/data needs.
Susan is a junior at Georgetown University, where she is majoring in Human Science and minoring in Medical Humanities. Fascinated by biology and human anatomy from an early age, Susan’s college experiences deepened her passion for OB/GYN, particularly in addressing FASD.

Driven by her desire to advocate for underserved communities, Susan is joining FASD United to assist in developing a White Paper that will champion resources and support for individuals and families affected by FASD. This opportunity aligns with her vision of creating lasting change through awareness, education, and action.
Reflecting on joining FASD United, Susan says, “I have been continually inspired and amazed by the dedication and efforts of the advocates at FASD United. I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to learn from their efforts, work alongside them, and contribute my skills and passion to advancing the mission.”
Beyond her new role at FASD United, Susan conducts neuroscience research, volunteers in hospitals to provide compassionate care, and mentors students in STEM. As a devoted dancer, Susan is also passionate about using artistic expression to bridge cultural divides and foster unity through shared stories and traditions.
