Yes I Can! Positively Growing…

Social Media Frames for FASD Awareness

The response to our “Yes I Can” campaign is “positively growing”. People with FASD are amazing, and with support, recognition and diagnosis, they embody the phrase “Yes I Can”. Does this message resonate with you or loved one? Download your own frame that suits your strengths or that of your loved one, add your photo and share the message that FASD is a diagnosis, NOT a definition. Tag FASD United in your social posts @FASDUnited and use the hash tag #FASDYesICan. Special Thanks to our Affiliate MassFAS for the great idea! Scroll down to download your media frame.

FASD Diagnosis not Definition

A new year with a great core message. People with FASD are capable and resilient. Earlier this year we introduced a new campaign inspired by the word cloud created by Dr. Christie Petrenko, researcher and advocate, describing the positive attributes of people with FASD. Check out Dr. Petrenko’s work HERE. Want to recognize a person with FASD for their outstanding feats of everyday strength, courage or resilience? Send them a Stars for Starla Award and let them know how remarkable they are.

You can follow the “Yes I Can” campaign on any of the FASD United Social Media channels:

Need Support or an FASD Diagnosis?

Check in with the Family Navigation team at FASD United. While there is limited diagnostic capacity in the US and world wide, our family navigation team will do their best to direct you to the nearest diagnostic clink. Another option for support is checking with our wide network of FASD United Affiliate organizations or checking out the great free training and links to support groups at The FASD Collaborative.

Want to Make a Difference and Increase Access for an FASD Diagnosis?

Increasing diagnostic capacity won’t happen without policy change, increased funding and awareness. FASD United is working on all of those fronts, through our Policy Center, our work with USUHS on Clinical Guidelines in the Military Healthcare System and through our media center and other events like Run FASD, a run for FASD. Check out our Policy Center and see how you can move the FASD cause forward, or consider a donation to keep this work moving forward.
