Special Projects Manager

Krystal Starwich first joined FASD United as a contractor to support several grant-funded projects, including surveying the diagnostic capacity of providers across the country and refining the 2025–26 National Education Survey. She now manages FASD United’s Washington State grant-funded, curriculum-based support group program and collaborates on a variety of projects across the organization. She approaches her work with a systems-building mindset and a commitment to centering the voices of people with living experience in the broader FASD community.

Before joining FASD United, she spent five years at the Washington State Charter School Commission in a range of roles regulating the state’s charter school sector. She has also worked in an independent school, a reproductive rights advocacy organization, and a community organization serving survivors of gender-based violence. She holds a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in political science. She currently resides in the Pacific Northwest.
