We are thrilled to welcome Frontier Community Services back as a member of the FASD United Affiliate Network, the largest coalition of FASD-related organizations. Affiliates address FASD in a range of ways, from educating systems of care, to raising public awareness, to supporting families and individuals living with FASD.
Based in Soldotna, Alaska, the mission of Frontier Community Services is “to provide quality, individualized home and community-based services for people of all ages who are at risk of, or experiencing a disabling condition, in order to minimize the need for institutional care.”
Since 2001, Frontier Community Services has housed an FASD Diagnostic Clinic. The FASD Program at Frontier Community Services provides diagnosis for children and adults in Alaska with prenatal alcohol exposure. They provide family navigation services “so those with FASD can access resources in the community.” They also provide opportunities for education to individuals, families, schools, and community agencies.
Frontier Community Services brings a depth of hands-on experience working directly with the FASD community through several FASD-related services. These include diagnostic services for children and adults, family support, educational training, and policy advocacy.

For 25 years, our agency has offered FASD Diagnostic Services for children and adults in Alaska. We are excited to access a wider array of resources for our clients and be a part of the national advocacy of FASD United.”
The FASD program at Frontier Community Services is part of a comprehensive set of programs that support individuals and families on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula. for 45 years, Frontier Community Services has been offering a variety of programs including “Infant Learning Program, Community Waiver Services, Shared Living Program (Group Homes), Senior Services” and more. We are proud to welcome this impactful organization to the network of FASD United affiliate organizations and look forward to a wonderful collaboration in the years ahead.
